The Best of Date Nights

Preface: I try to keep my posts limited to Fashion & Style Inspiration, but once in a while something comes along that is just too sweet to keep to myself. 

Last night as I was planning to get in my PJ's and watch The Presidential Debate (read below on how I still caught the last 20 mins) when my boy tells me were "going somewhere." This girls, is extremely unlike him, (He is a Planner to his CORE). My hair was wet, I was letting it roam wild for the evening, a break from the treacherous blow-dryer and CHI. So I got in a Frenzy. 

WHAT? WHERE ARE WE GOING? MY HAIR IS GONE TO SEED! 

He calmly assured me to throw on some "sweats". 

*A LITTLE PIECE OF ADVICE*

When your guy decides to surprise you with an evening you've had no involvement in planning, go with the flow, forget the fuss, (forget the hair in my case) and Enjoy the Love. That's that.  

Can you guess what we watched?! ;)  

We picked up some candy & chips & arrived at a little park along Riverside. (For you non Tulsans you can see in the picture above, it's the closest thing we have to an ocean front view ;)) 

Cale had packed the trunk FULL of blankets & pillows, we made a pallet on the grass & attended 

"Movie in the Park" 

It was delightful. 

It felt like that scene from "The Wedding Planner" with Jennifer Lopez & Matthew McConaughey. 

It's so great to find all of the new (or old) things your town has to offer that you never knew about before!

 4 years of living in Tulsa and this is the first time I experienced Movie in the Park. 

And the best part? It was completely Free. 

Well, minus the candy we stopped to pick up on the way there. 

But talk about a romantic on a budget's dream! 

Just goes to show that if things are tight financially, or maybe you & your significant other have just committed to saving right now, the Romance doesn't have to go, and neither do dates out of the house :)
