An Autumn Staple

The power of brown boots & Skinny Jeans

Nothing says "Fall" quite like brown boots, and a pair of skinny jeans. The real beauty of this combo though, is that you can tie in about 12 millions different looks with just these two items. Okay, well at least 5.
You can see I stayed within "neutral" color tones when pairing tops with them. Your choices can range from a pretty blouse (see leopard above), to cozy sweaters, to dinner date, to throw on a blazer for the work day. Basically what I'm saying is every gal needs a pair of Skinny Jeans, and brown boots, at least for the months revolving around Thanksgiving. Am I right? I'm Right.

What's Your Autumn Wardrobe Must?

P.S. Every Item pictured above is less than $50. I wouldn't lie to you dear ones.

  2. Nothing I said in my previously deleted comment was untrue: there is nothing exciting, nor anything that stands out about your blog. I didn't even have to research to see that you are, indeed, located right in the center of the Midwest. Your topics are tired, and there is nothing bold about anything you suggest.

It is PAINFULLY obvious that you don't put any effort into grammar and punctuation. If you don't want to be judged for your writing, then don't write. Even Perez Hilton believes in strong elocution; I understand quite well that this is a fashion blog and that the focus should be on fashion, but if you aren't going to put effort into writing then perhaps you should become a designer, so people can judge you based solely on fashion.

Write like a writer, and not like you're talking to a group of your friends. Improper punctuation and incorrect grammar are signs of laziness and ignorance; no one wants to take any sort of advice from someone that writes poorly, be it fashion, political, or relationship.

By having a blog, you have put yourself in the midst of a field that is very unforgiving. You're going to come across people a lot meaner than I am, and they're not going to have anything in terms of feedback to offer you in return for their negativity.

If you can't handle my constructive criticism, then perhaps having a blog where you encourage the public for their conversational opinions is not something you should pursue.

  4. Dear Jennifer,

First of all, thank you for once again looking at my page. There must have been something that drew you in, and drew you back once again.
I would hope that you would not have to "research very far" to find out that I am indeed located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It is the very heart of my blog.
Finding and providing practical and affordable style for girls, like me, who live in places like Oklahoma.
It's true- not all of us can live in NYC, or PARIS, or carry around Daddy's pocketbook, and THAT is why I created Fashionable Cents.
Local and Affordable style for EVERYONE, not only the risk takers.(Though, if you have read, or researched any of my past posts I would expect that you would find more variety than you seem to be stating).
I'm not perfect, nor do I claim to be, but I do believe any girl in ANY little town may it be "Midwest" or not, should aim to look her best.
If that means throwing on brown boots and skinny jeans- so be it.
As for your criticism of my writing style, punctuation, or grammar I apologize it's offended you so. There is nothing on my part that does not aim to put my absolute best into this blog. Some days are busier than others, some days are more inspired than others. I am new, and I am finding my edge.
Constructive Criticism is always welcomed and encouraged on my blog, and in my personal life, but I believe it's important to include encouraging thoughts. We are not here to put people or their sites down without lifting them up.
Again, thank you so kindly for your time and the effort you have put into providing me with your "Two Cents" it has not gone unnoticed.

  6. you go, girl. if you ever want help with spelling and grammar, i am passionate about that topic much like you are about fashion!

And I do enjoy your posts! I wish I could pull off some of these clothes. but no one wants to see a borderline plus size girl, with hips that don't lie, in leather pants.

Maybe one day i'll take that risk though!

Again, keep up the good work!

  7. First off to Jennifer above - get a life this is her blog not yours who died & made you blog queen? And get your facts straight - Perez Hilton has a ton of grammar & spelling mistakes. Don't like it? Don't read it.

Second you're right girl nothing screams fall like skinny jeans and brown boots!
